About Gardener's Orchard & Bakery

Gardener's Orchard and Bakery is a You-Pick family fun farm. Gardener's Orchard & Bakery is owned by the Gradinariu family. The Gradinariu family has owned and operated the orchard since 2013. Previously the orchard was owned by the Plaster family. The Gradinariu family immigrated to the United States from Romania in 1990. They initially settled in Southern California and in the fall of 2004 the family decided to relocate to Southwest Missouri. This is where the life long dream of owning and operating a farm became a reality. The family owned and operated commercial turkey farms for 10 years before they took over the orchard in 2013. In 2015 the family decided to focus only on the orchard and sold the turkey operations. Throughout the years, the Gradinariu family has added a bake from scratch bakery, berries, farm tours, events, and locally grown produce to the farm. As a large family with 10 children, the family's goal is to encourage, support, and educate the local community about the benefits of eating local and the impact that has on our children, families, health, and local economy. Knowing what we eat and where our food comes from is so important to the Gradinariu Family. That is why they recommend to find and support a local family farm that can show you how food is actually grown and where it comes from. With the beginning of a new decade in 2020, the family's mission is to provide a fresh look into the local farm community through a initiative called "Meet your Farmer." A new video series is to be released monthly showcasing local farms, how food is grown locally and how you can support your local farmer. You'll be able to find details on Facebook and YouTube. The orchard is truly an answered prayer for the Gradinariu family and they are blessed to be able to live their dream every single day.
