Encounters

Owl encounters are held daily and offer the opportunity for you to spend time flying one of our beautiful owls in the company of one of our trained bird handlers. Lasting for approx. 20 minutes, Encounters can be booked in advance online or on the day in person at the Sanctuary. Two places are available for each Encounter, priced £30 per participant, excluding the price of admission to the Sanctuary. The minimum age for participants is 8

It's great fun to take an up-close and personal walk on the wild side with The Mob during a Meerkat Encounter, when you will spend time inside their enclosure discovering all about these fascinating creatures with one of our trained handlers. Lasting approx. 20 minutes, encounters are restricted to a maximum of 4 people, minimum age 8. The cost is £30 per participant, excluding admission to the Sanctuary. Spectators are welcome to watch the encounter with a valid admission ticket but are not admitted into the meerkat enclosure.

Enjoy a close encounter with these amazing animals to discover their fascinating and exceptionally curious characteristics. Accompanied by an expert keeper to answer all your questions, you'll interact with our friendly porcupine pair, taking photos, feeding them and engaging their remarkable behaviour. An exclusive experience offering a rare chance to create unforgettable memories, each encounter begins at 12.30 pm on many weekdays and at weekends and lasts for about 20 minutes. Beginning at 10.30 and lasting for 20 minutes, Armadillo Encounters can be booked in advance, priced at £30 per person, excluding admission to the Sanctuary. Max 4 participants, minimum age 8.
