In this free workshop—offered in two time slots—artist Morgan O'Hara will guide participants through handwriting the Constitution, in whole or in part, highlighting the ways that this practice can help us form a more profound personal relationship with and deeper understanding of this "glorious liberty document" (in the words of Frederick Douglass). This will be a particularly meaningful activity for Bronxites, since the Constitution in its final form owes much to Gouverneur Morris, whose family estate occupied much of today's South Bronx. The workshop is part of The Bronx County Historical Society's yearlong "America 250: The Bronx" programming.
