Overview
August 2027 gives us another opportunity to view a solar eclipse in the UK. With 35% coverage of the sun, the effect will be viewable through solar sunglasses (a brand new pair provided by us for each participant). This eclipse will be in the morning, so we'll head up to our hilltop vantage point, where your guide will serve a tasty breakfast buffet, accompanied by a refreshing bucks fizz, freshly pressed morning coffee and tea. Join us for a wonderful celebration of this celestial display and a fab way to start your week.
ITINERARY - Monday 2th August 2027
07:00 Meet at Edale car park
07:30 Begin walk
09:06 Start of solar eclipse. Hilltop buffet, treats and drinks served by your guide.
09:59 Maximum with 35% of the sun obscured
10:55 End of eclipse & more exploring
12:30 Arrive back at Edale (approx)
Guided in a small group for maximum enjoyment.
Bookings close 24 hours before the walk, or sooner if all places are taken.
REFRESHMENTS
Items will include a selection of breakfast items, refreshing bucks fizz, freshly pressed coffee and tea. Items may not be suitable for participants who follow more restricted diets such as vegan or have specific requirements. While packaged and prepared with care, we cannot guarantee that food is free from nuts, dairy, wheat, soy, shellfish or other allergens. If participants are in any doubt, we recommend bringing your own suitable food items. We fully support the Peak District PSPO in wildfire prevention. Hence all our hot drinks on the hill are provided from flasks
