Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is one of the UK’s fastest-growing water sports, and there’s no better place to give it a go than with LakeSUP! Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned paddler, we’ll get you out on the water with top-quality gear and everything you need for an unforgettable experience.
💦 No experience? No problem! While no prior SUP experience is required, taking one of our SUP Intro sessions beforehand will give you the skills to paddle with confidence and spend more time having fun on the board!

📍 How It Works
1️⃣ Arrive at YMCA Lakeside – Park up and walk under the archway to the left of reception where you will see our SUP Shop.
2️⃣ Check-in & gear up – Arrive 5-10 minutes early** to complete paperwork and get changed.
3️⃣ Hit the water & have fun!
🛑 Important Info
- All under 18's must be accompanied by a person over the age of 18 on the water at all times.
- You must be comfortable swimming 50m.
- Wetsuits available for hire (Long John style – sizes not guaranteed). If not wearing a wetsuit, opt for lightweight, quick-drying activewear (no denim or suede).
- Booking is essential in summer – walk-in hires are not guaranteed!
