Overview
Join our qualified volunteers for a 2 hour return narrowboat trip along the Chesterfield Canal from Drakeholes Wharf.
This trip goes through Drakeholes Tunnel and includes a lock which you will be able to help operate under the supervision of our volunteers, or simply sit back and relax.
There are many scenic views along the way as well as wildlife to discover. Will you spot a Kingfisher or a Heron?
Whilst on the journey you will have the opportunity to steer the boat if you wish.
This is a public trip, so you will be joined by others on your journey - just think of them as friends that you are yet to meet!
Seth Ellis seats 12 people.
Hot drinks are available to purchase on board the boat at a small cost. You are welcome to bring a small picnic or snack if you wish.
All trips are crewed by qualified volunteers of the Chesterfield Canal Trust which is a registered charity, and the profits from all trips go towards the restoration of the last few miles of the Chesterfield Cana.
