In this presentation - part talk, part performance - Sean will detail how he used historic first hand accounts to create his latest musical odyssey, Peter's Field. It tells the powerful story of one of the most defining events of the Georgian era when 60,000 peaceful pro democracy demonstrators were violently dispersed by armed cavalry soldiers in Manchester in 1819 in what became known as the Peterloo Massacre.

The accompanying book, from which he will be reading, has been described by academic authority Professor Robert Poole as 'the most powerful creative evocation yet of Peterloo' and by Songlines as 'an astonishing work. .compelling, passionate, evocative and haunting.'
