The Voluta Quartet is a vibrant new Manchester-based string
ensemble who met at the Royal Northern College of Music. Formed in April 2025,
the quartet strives to present high-quality, innovative, and entertaining
programs. As recent winners of the RNCM Hirsch Prize, the group works closely
with local composers and engages with contemporary works as well as core
classical repertoire such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Ravel. By bringing the
passion and flavour of their multicultural backgrounds, the quartet is excited
to share a fresh take on classical quartet music, creating an inspiring and
welcoming environment for audiences of all kinds.
The programme of the evening will be annouced shortly including various music that was played within the Buxton Crescent during the Georgian period.
The Voluta
Quartet appears by kind permission of the RNCM.
