A totally new experience has been introduced to the Lake District, guided boat fishing for groups or individuals of up to 6 anglers.
Windermere, is recognised as having some of the best freshwater fishing of anywhere in the country. It is possibly the most idyllic & scenic place to fish in the whole country, with a backdrop of greenery and Lakeland fells.
Our Location
We are based at the southern end of Windermere, at The Swan Hotel Marina, Newby Bridge, on the River Leven. Just 25 minutes from J36 of the M6 - LA12 8NB.
With over 80% of the shoreline of Windermere out of bounds for shore anglers, the fishing is comparatively untouched in the south compared to the busy northern end of Windermere.
Our Boat
Our boat Peggy is the perfect stable fishing platform, she is a 20ft long, a wide beam Cougar catamaran, with twin Selva outboard motors. Licenced by the Westmorland & Furness Council for commercial use, with full safety inspections carried out annually. With side loading doors and a bow ramp that lowers for access, the boat provides easy access for all ages and abilities.
Equipped with a state of the art fish finder with side scan, we get a good view of the underwater terrain and the fish both below and to the side of the boat.

We offer tickets for whole boat booking for private charters meaning it’s just your party on the vessel for private hire ,
Private/Group Bookings
This is a whole boat booking, the price is for the private charter of our boat Peggy for your sole use for a duration of eight hours, this can be shortened to suit your schedule.
Suited for experienced anglers or families, or just the angler or holidaymaker keen to catch the fish of a lifetime in privacy, it gives you the opportunity to possibly catch a 30lb + Pike, many of which are caught each year on Windermere by anglers from boats. If you have never fished before, we will teach you how to use the rod. Rods and tackle are available as an optional extra when booking.

The Swan Hotel & Spa & Parking
Based at the Swan Hotel Marina, parking for our booked customers is free, a rarity in the Lake District, easy access onto the boat means it is suitable for all ages. (Car registration number and proof of booking must be given to the hotel reception to qualify for free parking).
Spa
If some of the group don't wish to participate in the fishing, The Swan Hotel Spa may be more to their liking, booking through the hotel website.

Fishing Licence
An environment agency rod licence is required for ALL anglers on the day of fishing, £7.10 for adults, under 16's are free but they must still have a registered licence. Available online via a simple short form in the link below , we can assist on the day, but to save fishing time and poor mobile reception issues, it is advised to apply for the licence for the exact day prior to coming. (Trout and Coarse up to 2 rods licence).
Fines can be severe for anglers not holding a rod licence.
