About Castle Farm Kent

Castle Farm is our family farm based near the pretty village of Shoreham in West Kent. The Alexander Family have been farming in the Darenth Valley since 1892 when James Alexander brought down 17 milking cows on the train from Ayrshire in Scotland. Today, the farm is managed by William and Caroline Alexander, with involvement from each of their children, Lorna, Thomas and Crispin, and supported by the hard-working Castle Farm team. Through the years a large variety of crops have been grown on this land including; the Savoy Cabbage, Plums, Lucerne, Parsnips, Marrows, Potatoes and of course, Apples and Hops, which we still grow today! The Lavender enterprise began in 1998, to produce essential oils. We are now the largest Lavender farm in the UK growing over 110 acres of the fragrant purple flower!

Booking policy

  • All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed upon receipt of full payment. 
  • Prices include a £1 booking fee. 
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at checkout. Please retain this email, as it contains your Order Number, which will be required for any correspondence.   
  • Events at Castle Farm Kent are all-weather events and will go ahead in most weather conditions unless deemed unsafe to do so by Castle Farm Management. 
  • Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at our Lavender Walks Events, Guided Distillery & Field Tours and Discovery Tours only. Service dogs are welcome at all events. 
  • Sorry, no commercial photography or drones. 
  • Mini busses and coaches must be prebooked with us a minimum of 7 days in advance. Please email events@castlefarmkent.co.uk prior to booking your tickets. 
  • By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the event details, including suitability, fitness requirements, and any access limitations.




Health & Safety
  • Attendance is at your own risk. Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness and ability to take part.
  • Castle Farm Kent reserves the right to refuse entrance/participation if safety concerns arise.

  • Valid for 2 years from purchase date
  • Gift cards are redeemable online
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Gift cards are not refundable
  • Gift cards are not replaceable if lost or stolen

Cancellation policy

  • All tickets are non-refundable. 
  • Customers can amend their own bookings using the secure link in their confirmation email, subject to availability. The timeframe in which customers can amend bookings differs per event. Please see your confirmation email for details. After this timeframe, amendments are not permitted. Bookings cannot be amended to a different event from the event initially purchased, nor can it be amended to the same event in a different year.
