Overview
A romantic getaway with fire at its heart.
Escape to the tranquil beauty of Old Pound Smithy for a truly unforgettable experience that blends craftsmanship, connection, and countryside calm. Your two-night stay will be in one of our beautifully handcrafted retreats — Whittlers Yurt, Pritchels Yurt, or Straw Cottage — each filled with character, comfort, and charm.
On the second day, step into the forge together for a full day of blacksmithing, learning traditional skills and shaping glowing steel into your own hand-forged creations. Under the guidance of our resident smith, you’ll share the rhythm of the hammer and the satisfaction of making something lasting — side by side.
Perfect for couples seeking a unique adventure, a memorable anniversary, or a gift with real meaning.
