Focusing on the ethnographic/World Culture collections of local Julius Lucius Brenchley - our Victorian Gentleman Explorer, this talk and tour takes us around the world in his 19th century travels, with the fascinating places and people he visited and the collections he acquired, including the early, rare and internationally significant Solomon Islands artefacts, a collection which is also held at the British Museum.
