Overview
Hire an open canoe for a relaxing hour of paddling on the water. It’s a fantastic way for families to team up and explore together. The views from the lake are breathtaking.
The Price:Includes 1hr canoe hire and equipment suitable for 2 or 3 people. (With 3 people, one must be under 10 years of age)
Numbers: Minimum of 2 people, maximum of 3 people in a canoe.
Ages: 16 yrs+ (Please check Ts and Cs for full details) 14 yrs – 15yrs only with an adult contactable on the PyB site. 5 yrs – 13yrs only if accompanied by an adult (over 18) in the same canoe. N.B. All bookings, and supervision of under 14s must be conducted by an appropriate adult (over 18 years of age).
What’s included:Canoe, paddles, buoyancy aids, and splash jackets for the group, alongside a short safety and technique briefing session at the pontoon. N.B: We don’t provide instruction, but our team will advise on how to get started and to stay safe on the lake.
Kit list: A change of clothes and a towel. Shoes that can get wet and will not come off if you are swimming.
Time: Book a 1hr time slot and turn up at least 15 minutes before the session to ensure you can get kitted out and get the full hour of paddling. (Note: It is a 5 minute walk to the launch pontoon from the main Centre so leave plenty of time) Parking: There is parking at the centre (not guaranteed) but it can get quite full so please leave time to find alternative parking if needed.
