Alpaca Trekking with Moor View AlpacasBooking Policy & Terms and ConditionsWe look forward to welcoming you to Moor View Alpacas for a memorable alpaca trekking experience.Our advertised experience lasts approximately two hours and includes a complimentary Cornish Cream Tea. To ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of our guests and animals, please read the following booking policy and terms and conditions before making your reservation.
1. Bookings and PaymentAll alpaca trekking experiences must be booked in advance.The full balance must be paid either prior to arrival or on the day of your experience. We reserve the right to cancel any booking where payment has not been received before the experience is due to begin.Please inform us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your complimentary Cornish Cream Tea.If you are unable to attend your booked experience, bookings may be transferred to another person, provided we receive prior notice.Please note that refunds will not be issued. In exceptional circumstances, we may, at our discretion, offer a gift voucher in place of the booking. Any such voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
2. Gift VouchersGift vouchers entitle the recipient to participate in an alpaca trekking experience with Moor View Alpacas.All gift vouchers must be redeemed by booking an experience before the expiry date stated on the voucher. Unless otherwise specified, vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.Advance booking is essential, and all experiences are subject to availability.
3. Cancellations and ReschedulingWe require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations.If you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice, we will endeavour to rearrange your trekking experience, subject to availability.In exceptional circumstances, we may, at our discretion, offer a gift voucher in place of the original booking. Any voucher issued will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue.Moor View Alpacas reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any trekking experience where necessary, including circumstances affecting the safety and wellbeing of our guests or animals.Should we need to cancel your experience, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and endeavour to arrange an alternative date.
4. Weather ConditionsAs our alpaca trekking experiences take place outdoors, weather conditions may affect the experience.We reserve the right to amend or alter the advertised trek where necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests and the wellbeing of our animals.We recommend wearing suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy, closed-toe footwear appropriate for walking over uneven and potentially hilly ground. Waterproof clothing and sun protection are advisable, depending on the weather.For your safety, flip-flops, open-toed shoes, Crocs and other unsuitable footwear are not permitted on our treks. We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone wearing inappropriate footwear.Moor View Alpacas cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or expenses incurred as a result of a postponed or rescheduled trek.
5. Health and SafetyThe safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff and animals are our highest priority.By booking an alpaca trekking experience, you confirm that you are physically able to participate in the advertised activity, which involves walking over uneven and potentially hilly ground.If you have any medical conditions, mobility concerns or other circumstances that may affect your ability to participate safely, please contact us before booking so that we can discuss your requirements.Guests participate in the experience at their own risk and are responsible for taking reasonable care of themselves and their personal belongings.Any medical treatment required as a result of illness or injury is the financial responsibility of the individual concerned.Please be aware that horse flies may be present in our fields during the summer months. If you have allergies or sensitivities to insect bites, please take appropriate precautions. We recommend bringing suitable insect repellent.All guests must follow the safety instructions provided by our team before and during the trek.We reserve the right to refuse participation or discontinue an experience where a guest's behaviour or actions pose a risk to themselves, other guests, our staff or our animals.
6. Children and SupervisionChildren under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the experience.For safety reasons, Moor View Alpacas reserves the right to assess whether a child is able to lead an alpaca independently.Where necessary, an additional lead rope may be attached so that the accompanying adult can assist in leading the alpaca.Our team will make this decision based on the child's age, confidence and ability, together with the individual alpaca's behaviour.
7. Pets and AnimalsUnfortunately, pets are not permitted on site.As we are a working farm with livestock roaming freely, this policy is in place to protect the safety and wellbeing of our animals, visitors and pets.
8. Photography and Promotional MaterialPhotographs and videos may be taken during our experiences for promotional purposes.Moor View Alpacas reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during trekking experiences in our promotional materials, including our website and social media channels, where appropriate permissions have been obtained.If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used for promotional purposes, please inform us before your experience.
