We’re delighted to be introducing monthly guided tours of Kelmarsh Hall for the remainder of the season.Join one of our knowledgeable Hall guides for a fascinating 90-minute tour , exploring the beautiful fine rooms, the upstairs living quarters and exhibitions, and below stairs in the old servants quarters. Along the way, you'll discover the rich history of Kelmarsh Hall and the stories of the people who called it home. Tours will take place on the following dates: Thursday 23rd July, Thursday 10th September, Thursday 8th October. Your ticket also includes entry to the gardens before the tour, allowing you to enjoy the grounds ahead of the 2.00pm tour start .Please note that, as there is no lift access to the upper floor, this tour is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Not suitable for young children. Tickets: Adults £22.50 and young adults age 14-18 £15.

Foraging Workshops at Kelmarsh Hall - Thursday 24th September

Have you ever foraged for delicious wild foods before? Would you like to learn what is in season that can be foraged safely with a little care, to supplement your diet? Come along to Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens to be guided around the beautiful estate by local expert Lizzy from Tellus Mater who will take you on a wander to seek delectable hedgerow and woodland edibles that are full of surprising Summer or Autumn flavours! We will be looking for edible wild fruits, herbs, mushrooms and plants that are all around us and teaching you key identification features/preferred habitats to give a good introduction to foraging for your own wild food journey going forwards. There will be a chance to sample some wild food makes and bakes brought along by your host to show how easy it can be to incorporate your finds into everyday meals and cooking. We will be covering good foraging practice, preservation techniques and what species to look out for in the coming months after your foraging session with Lizzy. You may wish to bring a camera, notepaper, something to drink as we walk and ensure you have sturdy comfortable footwear/weather appropriate clothing for the wander. Timings: 10.30am - 1.30pm.  Tickets £40 per adult.

It’s the perfect opportunity to discover something special and support independent businesses.After exploring the artisan market, take a stroll through the woodland, lakeside and historic gardens , enjoying the beautiful autumn colours as the season begins to change. Warm up with mulled wine and mince pies, and take in the joyful atmosphere with live music and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Step into the candlelit splendour of the Ballroom at Kelmarsh Hall and experience A Christmas Carol as it was originally brought to life by Charles Dickens himself. Join us for an evocative recitation by Fin Tyson, performing from Dickens’ own abridged version of the text, used during his renowned reading tour of the UK in 1860. This is a dramatic, atmospheric telling of the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the spirits of Christmas, and the redemption that follows. Please note: This performance is a faithful recitation of the original ghost story and may not be suitable for very young children expecting a light-hearted theatrical experience.
