2026 Events at Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens

We’re delighted to be introducing monthly guided tours of Kelmarsh Hall for the remainder of the season.Join one of our knowledgeable Hall guides for a fascinating 90-minute tour , exploring the beautiful fine rooms, the upstairs living quarters and exhibitions, and below stairs in the old servants quarters. Along the way, you'll discover the rich history of Kelmarsh Hall and the stories of the people who called it home. Tours will take place on the following dates: Thursday 23rd July, Thursday 10th September, Thursday 8th October. Your ticket also includes entry to the gardens before the tour, allowing you to enjoy the grounds ahead of the 2.00pm tour start .Please note that, as there is no lift access to the upper floor, this tour is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Not suitable for young children. Tickets: Adults £22.50 and young adults age 14-18 £15.

Have you ever foraged for delicious wild foods before? Would you like to learn what is in season that can be foraged safely with a little care, to supplement your diet? Come along to Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens to be guided around the beautiful estate by local expert Lizzy from Tellus Mater who will take you on a wander to seek delectable hedgerow and woodland edibles that are full of surprising Summer or Autumn flavours! We will be looking for edible wild fruits, herbs, mushrooms and plants that are all around us and teaching you key identification features/preferred habitats to give a good introduction to foraging for your own wild food journey going forwards. There will be a chance to sample some wild food makes and bakes brought along by your host to show how easy it can be to incorporate your finds into everyday meals and cooking. We will be covering good foraging practice, preservation techniques and what species to look out for in the coming months after your foraging session with Lizzy. You may wish to bring a camera, notepaper, something to drink as we walk and ensure you have sturdy comfortable footwear/weather appropriate clothing for the wander. Timings: 10.30am - 1.30pm.  Tickets £40 per adult.

Artisan Fair & Autumn WalkJoin us for an autumnal day out for all the family at our annual Artisan Fair & Autumn Walk at Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens.Browse a fabulous selection of stalls featuring handmade crafts, unique gifts and delicious treats , with a wonderful range of local makers, designers and food vendors. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover something special and support independent businesses.After exploring the artisan market, take a stroll through the woodland, lakeside and historic gardens , enjoying the beautiful autumn colours as the season begins to change. Our stunning dahlia collection will also be in bloom , providing a spectacular display.What’s on offer: Scenic autumn walks through the woodland and historic gardens Local artisans showcasing handmade crafts and products Scarecrow Trail in the Walled Garden Seasonal food and drink Beautiful autumn displays throughout the gardens Event Information Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th October 11am – 3pm each day Entrance: £10 per car Please note that event parking is located on the event site, with approximately a 10–15 minute walk through the woodland to reach the main event area. Join wine expert Duncan Murray for a fabulous evening of wine and cheese here at Kelmarsh  Hall and Gardens.  Enjoy fizz on arrival in the beautiful Great HAll, before taking a seat and enjoying your tasting session in the Saloon.  7pm arrival for a 7.45pm start.  Tickets £65 per person.  Please note this is an adults only event.

Step into a world of festive enchantment at Kelmarsh Hall this Christmas as The Nutcracker comes to life throughout the beautifully dressed Kelmarsh Hall. Wander through elegantly decorated rooms inspired by the magic of the season, where hidden amongst the grandeur you’ll discover 3 live ballet performances from beloved scenes of the classic Christmas tale.  Blending the timeless charm of a historic country house with the beauty of live dance, this immersive festive experience invites guests of all ages to discover Christmas at Kelmarsh in a truly unforgettable way. Perfect for families, couples and lovers of Christmas tradition, this is a magical seasonal event filled with music, storytelling and festive atmosphere. Join us for a truly special evening of Christmas carols and festive songs at beautifully decorated Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens , performed by the talented Rugby and Market Harborough Magic Voices Choir . 🎄 Wednesday 16th December  Your evening begins with a warm welcome in the magnificent Great Hall, where you’ll be greeted with a glass of festive punch, mulled cider, tea or coffee, and a mince pie, all enjoyed beside a roaring open fire. Whilst enjoying your drink, take the opportunity to wander through the beautifully decorated rooms of Kelmarsh Hall, dressed in all their festive splendour. Then, settle in and enjoy a heart-warming performance from the choir, featuring much-loved Christmas favourites and plenty of opportunities to join in and sing along.  From twinkling decorations and roaring fires to much-loved Christmas songs, this promises to be a wonderfully festive evening in truly enchanting surroundings.✨ Doors open at 5.30pm. Step into the candlelit splendour of the Ballroom at Kelmarsh Hall and experience A Christmas Carol as it was originally brought to life by Charles Dickens himself. Join us for an evocative recitation by Fin Tyson, performing from Dickens’ own abridged version of the text, used during his renowned reading tour of the UK in 1860. This is a dramatic, atmospheric telling of the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the spirits of Christmas, and the redemption that follows. Please note: This performance is a faithful recitation of the original ghost story and may not be suitable for very young children expecting a light-hearted theatrical experience.
