Make this Christmas one to remember!
Climb aboard a majestic steam train at Warren Wood Station and set off on a magical journey through the fields and deep into the Christmas Woodland at Bredgar Railway. Step off the train and discover a woodland transformed for Christmas, with festive lights, Christmas music, crafts, games and a Christmas Treasure Trail for the whole family. Warm yourself beside the open fire, explore the woodland and soak up the atmosphere of a truly special Christmas day out. And, of course, thereβs plenty of steam! Your ticket includes unlimited steam train rides throughout your visit, so you can enjoy the journey through the winter landscape as many times as you like. The Engine Shed and Museum will also be open for viewing from the designated viewing area.

Under 2s β FREEA small booking fee applies.Every person travelling by train to the Christmas Woodland requires a ticket. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult in their group.

All activities in the Christmas Woodland are included in your train ticket β thereβs no extra charge once you arrive.
A visit to Father Christmas in the Grotto is not included in the train ticket and must be booked separately. If you have booked a Grotto ticket, please make sure you allow plenty of time to enjoy the Christmas Woodland before your visit to Father Christmas.Β Grotto tickets are available separately on the booking page.
Trains will be running between 3pm and 8.30pm
The train journey takes approximately 5 minutes each way.Β If you have a Santa's Grotto time slot, you must catch a train at least 45 minutes before your booked Grotto time.Β We recommend allowing at least one hour to enjoy the Christmas Woodland activities. If your Grotto visit is later in the day, please make sure you allow time to enjoy the woodland before seeing Father Christmas.You are welcome to take your own photographs anywhere on site.
The Christmas Woodland will be beautifully lit and atmospheric, particularly as darkness falls. If you have young children or anyone in your group who would prefer to explore the woodland in daylight, please bear this in mind when choosing when to visit. Refreshments will be available to purchase in the Christmas Woodland. This is an outdoor event, so please come prepared for the British winter! The woodland is likely to be wet and muddy, so warm clothing, waterproofs and sensible footwear or boots are strongly recommended. Canopy cover will be available in the woodland should the heavens open.

The train stations and carriages have disabled access. If you have concerns about accessibility in the Christmas Woodland, please get in touch with us before your visit and we'll be happy to help. The main toilets, including baby changing facilities and an accessible toilet, are located at the main station. Portable toilets will also be available in the woodland.
CARERS
Carer tickets are free when accompanying the person they care for. Please bring supporting documentation with you to show on entry. Anyone unable to provide documentation confirming their Carer status will be required to pay the standard entry fee.
