About Lotmead Farm & PYO

Lotmead Farm & PYO is a family-friendly destination located just outside Swindon, England, offering a variety of seasonal activities and attractions. The farm is renowned for its Pick Your Own (PYO) offerings, allowing visitors to harvest a range of fresh fruits and vegetables during the summer months. Crops typically available for picking include strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants, blackberries, broad beans, sweetcorn, and asparagus. In addition to PYO, Lotmead Farm features a farm park with a fruit-themed play area designed for children up to 14 years old. The play area includes a handcrafted wooden structure with walkways, platforms, and climbing frames. Adjacent to the play area is a café and farm shop where visitors can relax with refreshments while keeping an eye on their children. Animal enthusiasts can explore the small animal enclosure, home to Denzel the Donkey, Tango the Pony, pygmy goats, alpacas, pigs, calves, chickens, guinea pigs, and other small animals. Lotmead Farm operates seasonally, typically opening from late May through December. The shop and café are closed for the winter and are expected to reopen around Easter, weather permitting. Standard opening hours during the season are 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily, with the last entry at 4:30 pm.
