Masterful Beauty The Italianate gardens at Renishaw were visualised and built by Sir George Sitwell between 1886 and 1936. Inspired by what already existed and rooting for the future potential of the grounds, Sir Reresby and Lady Sitwell introduced an array of colour and texture between 1965 and 2009, emphasising the lines of the garden and ultimately transforming the overall look and feel.  Since taking over the estate in 2009, Alexandra has brought her vision to life by introducing exotic plantings and a stunning rose garden. She continues to work closely with our team of skilled and devoted gardeners, who maintain the exceptional beauty of Renishaw’s outdoor spaces. With the blend of our stunning Italianate gardens, a scenic lake occupied by majestic wildlife and picturesque woodlands to explore, you are never short of opportunities to get lost in nature and beauty at Renishaw. Guided Hall Tours  Please note:   Renishaw Hall is a private family home and is not open for general browsing.   Guided Hall Tours are not recommended for babies or children under 12.  During our open season (March to October) We  offer 1 hour Guided tours of the Hall every Friday at 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm. In August, we offer tours daily from Wednesday through to Sunday.  Renishaw Hall embodies the unique heritage of the Sitwell family, which generations have come to admire through a shared passion for art and literature.  Our tour guides are seasoned in their knowledge and have mastered the art of Sitwell story-telling, which they pair with opportunities to see magnificent art, family heirlooms and dozens of grand portraits. To experience all that we have to offer at Renishaw, we recommend arriving early, giving you ample time to explore everything else the Estate has to offer. Hall Tour tickets include the Gardens, Woodlands, Lakes Museum and Vineyard.  (Gardens open 10.30am - 4.30pm )

Grab your broomsticks because our annual Halloween Trail Weekend is just around the corner!  Beware…….The Swords of Mercia are also “hiding” around the corner too!  Expect an extra spooky twist as you weave into the woodlands and gardens to seek out the all-important questions and solve our puzzle.
