Half Day Sea Kayaking Trip
£49 PER ADULT | £39 PER CHILD The half day trips run from 09:30 to 12:30 & 13:30 to 16:30 With no previous experience required, these trips are ideal for families, individuals or groups. We spend around 2 hours on the water and personalise the trip for you; some of the options that we can include are kayak surfing, rock hopping, wildlife watching, marshmallow roasting, swimming in inaccessible coves, making hot chocolate with a Kelly Kettle. The possibilities are endless! We usually operate around the Exe Estuary Loops or Budleigh Salterton depending on the conditions. Inclusions What's Included 🧰 Equipment - Kayak, buoyancy aid, Paddle, Cag/coat What you'll need 🧤 Warm Clothing - A towel, warm jumper and change of clothes Footwear that can get wet, such as old trainers or sandals Food and drink for the duration of the journey Suncream, sunglasses and a hat are a good idea! You can bring a wetsuit but most people find it is more comfortable to paddle in clothes and one of our cags If you want to go for a swim in the sea, bring some swimwear Sea kayaks have lots of dry space so bring whatever makes you more comfortable There is an area to store valuables at the centre. We have dry bags which you can use to bring items such as mobile phones with you 🍴 Food 🥤 Drink
Full Day Sea Kayaking Trip
The full day trips run from 09:30 to 16:30 With no previous experience required, these trips are ideal for families, individuals or groups. These guided sea kayak tours take in the beautiful and tranquil East Devon coastline. There are various options from our base in the heart of Exmouth: our expert local guides and coaches choose the best option depending on the tide, weather conditions and what you want to experience. Our Exe Estuary route goes from Exmouth to Topsham (or vice-versa, depending on the tides) – with golden sands and myriad wildlife including sandpipers, rare avocets and grey seals. The estuary changes dramatically with the tides and we just go with the flow! Our Jurassic Coast route takes in the red Jurassic Sandstone East of Exmouth to Budleigh Salterton. With sandy coves and sea stacks, a sea kayak is the best possible way to explore this World Heritage Site. Introductory Sea Kayaking Course
Using Exmouth and East Devon as our base, this introductory two day course gives you the building blocks to enter the adventurous world of sea kayaking. Journeying is what sea kayaking is all about, so we take in two trips around East Devon and coach on the move. Starting in more sheltered water, we then move on to more adventurous conditions to develop your skills. You will be learning efficient forward paddling, basic handling, self rescue, tidal planning, cruising on small waves and seeing beautiful wildlife just for starters! We provide sea kayaks for this course. Ratios: 1:6 Maximum. We keep the numbers low for high quality coaching. We need at least 2 people to run this course. This dynamic engaging adventure sees individuals traverse at sea level along South Devon’s picturesque rocky coastline. Venturing on foot and in the water, you will climb, traverse and scramble over the rugged coastline. Improvers Sea Kayaking Course
£250| Two-Day Course The course runs from 09:30 to 16:30 Using Exmouth and East Devon as our base, this two day course is ideal for those who have some previous kayaking experience or who have completed our Introductory course. We take on some more adventurous journeys during this course: searching out waves and flow to bring on your skills, whilst still making time for some fishing or just enjoying the environment. You will be learning to make use of existing skills in a new environment, new strokes, peer and self rescue, launching and landing at hidden coves, surfing waves, tidal and route planning – we give you the tools to deal with and enjoy different weather conditions. Intro to White Water Kayaking Day
This experience is all about enjoying a new challenge and trying to get you as hooked on this amazing activity as we can. The first way we help this is by giving you quality equipment that will keep you warm and safe on the river. We provide friendly British Canoeing coaches that have had years of experience getting people enthusiastic about this sport. We use the River Dart as our go to river for beginners: it’s tranquil, beautiful, has large eddies, good access and is tree free. Boat: Kit and equipment is provided and is very good quality. Skill Level: Beginner with some experience on flat water and happy capsizing. Ratios: 1:6 Maximum. We keep the numbers low for high quality coaching.
