Kayaking during this time of the year is extra special because many of the multimillion-dollar waterfront properties and landmark buildings on the perimeter of Lake Woodlands display an abundance of Christmas lights decoration, which reflect on the water and lit the night, creating a magical atmosphere that very few people get to experience. We will be decorating our kayaks with party lights. Gliding on the water at night is a rare and joyful opportunity. Premium quality kayaking equipment and instruction is provided - so be at peace, we will take good care of you! Beginner paddlers and strong kids 10+ are welcome! = = = Destination: The Woodlands Lake, TX. Duration: 3-4 hours; 2-3 hours of actual paddling. Distance: 3-6 miles. Trip can be modified based on circumstances (weather, group dynamics, fitness level, etc.). = = = Leisure paddle. Guided kayak tour with experienced trip leader. Beginners and family friendly. Kids ages 10+ are welcome. We use sit-inside tandem and single-seat touring kayaks. Kayaks will be decorated with party lights. A minimum 5 paying participants are necessary to run the tour. Bring several bottles of water to take with you in the kayak. It might be a cooler evening, so bring a thermos with hot tea and a snack. If you have a head lamp, bring it. Bring a towel to cover your car seat for a comfortable ride home, and a complete set of clothing to change at the end, should that be necessary. Free parking and bathroom available. Dress in comfortable synthetic clothing like you would use for a day hike. Blue jeans and boots are not best choice.
