USS SLATER is offering Deep Freeze Tours throughout the winter months! These tours will offer a glimpse of what our volunteers are working on throughout the winter season as well as a history of the ship.

Walk aboard USS SLATER and don't worry about those tricky ladders. You'll see the 3 inch gun, Officer's Country, the galley, depth charges, fantail, and the ever relatable head. This guided tour lasts about 30 minutes.

The SLATER History Tour will take you through the majority of the ship, including an example of each weapon, mess deck, galley, radio shack, pilot house, CIC, and more! Your tour will be fully guided and last about an hour.

A complete tour of SLATER, you'll see everything on the History Tour, plus the Engine Room, Collections Compartment, and other restored compartments. Minimum 2 hours. Not allowed for kids under the age of 13.

See SLATER's diesel electric propulsion system in her two after engine room compartments. No child under 13 years is allowed. Guided tour last about 30 minutes.

View the artifacts on display in our Collections Compartment. You'll be able to see items from Destroyer Escorts that have been donated to the museum. Guided tour last about 30 minutes.
