Our cave & trail day passes allow entry to Ingleborough Cave & Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail on the date booked. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You are required to arrive at our ticket foyer at The Old Sawmill Cafe at the entrance to Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, during the 30 minute time window that you book. We advise that the total experience lasts approximately 2-2.5 hours, including the trail. Many of our visitors choose to use our FREE walking guide to extend their day. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING: A booking confirmation will be sent to you, and you must bring this with you, either printed, or on an electronic device. Please check junk mail if it doesn’t arrive in your regular inbox. Ingleborough Cave, where your tour will start from, is not next to a road. Access is via Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, a 1.23 mile maintained gravel trail at a steady incline of no more than 10°, so do factor this in to your timings. Cave tours are self guided and take approximately 30-35 minutes on average. It is 9° inside the cave all year round so an extra layer is recommended. Single width pushchairs (maximum of 60cm at the widest point) and front mounted carriers can be taken into the cave, but we advise against rear mounted carriers. Please factor in the walk and the terrain if you are bringing a pushchair. Well behaved dogs can be taken on the trail and in to the cave providing they are kept on a short lead. CANCELLATION PROCEDURES: The tickets you purchase can only be used on the date and time specified. They are non-transferable. In the event that we are unable to open due to adverse weather, or any other problems, a full refund will be issued minus the card processing charge & booking fee. Refunds will not be offered to those unable to make their entry time. Due to the unpredictability of nature, Ingleborough Cave reserve the right to close the cave and/or trail at any time. Tramper Reservation for Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail
TRAMPER RESERVATIONS AT INGLEBOROUGH ESTATE NATURE TRAIL. Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail has two trampers available for reservation free of charge, allowing you to explore the 1.23 mile nature trail when you visit. WHAT IS A TRAMPER? A tramper is a top of the range electric all-terrain mobility scooter designed specifically for negotiating off road ground safely and comfortably, with enhanced suspension and larger tyres ensuring an enjoyable experience for the user. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW PRIOR TO MAKING A BOOKING. The trampers can be reserved free of charge from either 10am-12:45pm or 1:15pm-4pm. The tramper must be returned by 12:45pm or 4pm, but collection can be anytime - just ensure you collect it in enough time to enjoy full use of the trail . There is a 25 stone weight limit applied to tramper users. The trampers are simple to use; they are operated by twist throttles on the handles with no pedals or brakes. A full induction will be delivered to the user on arrival. The tramper can be reserved by anyone aged 11+ who is capable of safely & sensibly operating it. If you have any conditions that may impair safe operation of the tramper please contact us prior to making a booking. Trampers are not permitted inside Ingleborough Cave. Providing the user is accompanied by someone who is physically strong enough to push, which can be strenuous in places, a bespoke wheelchair is available for reservation at the cave free of charge. Wheelchair Reservation for Ingleborough Cave
WHEELCHAIR RESERVATIONS AT INGLEBOROUGH CAVE. Ingleborough Cave has one bespoke manual wheelchair for reservation free of charge, allowing you to explore the 0.6 miles of passages in one of the U.K’s finest natural wonders. HOW DO I GET TO THE CAVE? Ingleborough Cave is not next to a road. Access is via the 1.23 mile woodland track along Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, and we have two electric all terrain mobility scooters available for reservation free of charge. Please visit our tramper booking page to check availability and make a reservation if required. PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW PRIOR TO MAKING A BOOKING. The user must be accompanied by someone who is physically strong enough to push the wheelchair safely inside the cave, which can be extremely strenuous in places. There are approximately 0.6 miles of concrete passages inside the cave, with some steep slopes and narrow areas. If you require further information on the terrain please get in touch prior to booking. There is a 15 stone weight limit applied to wheelchair users. Both the wheelchair and the trampers can be reserved by anyone who needs them who is aged 11+. The wheelchair can be reserved free of charge for an entire day, so your arrival time at the cave is only limited to opening hours allowing you to fully enjoy use of the trail and cave without rushing. The tramper reservations are from 10am-12:45pm or 1:15pm-4pm, so these timings must be factored into your planning. Santa’s Grotto at Ingleborough Cave
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 1. THE TIME YOU BOOK IS YOUR ARRIVAL TIME AT THE OLD SAWMILL CAFE, AT THE ENTRANCE TO INGLEBOROUGH ESTATE NATURE TRAIL, IN CLAPHAM VILLAGE. 2. You have 60 minutes to reach Ingleborough Cave, which is a 1.2-mile walk (approx. 30 minutes for a reasonably fit adult). Please arrive earlier if your group needs extra walking time. We advise allowing approximately 3 hours 15 minutes for the experience. 3. Near the start of the trail, visit Santa’s Post Office to write and craft your letters before posting them in the Grotto. You are also welcome to bring letters made at home. This stop is optional and can be bypassed. 4. The Old Sawmill Cafe, at the entrance to Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail, will be open all day with a Christmas themed menu! No booking is necessary, there is plenty of room so just turn up and enjoy! EXAMPLE ITINERARY: Tickets booked for 0845 slot. Arrive at The Old Sawmill Cafe at 08:45. You then have 60 minutes to walk 1.23 miles to Ingleborough Cave, where your group will gather for the experience to start, so in this case 09:45. The experience then starts 15 minutes later, in this case at 10:00. We advise that the experience in the cave takes approximately an hour, so you would leave the cave approximately 11:00. You then have the 1.23 mile walk back to Clapham. We advise that the total experience lasts approximately 3 hours 15 minutes. TICKET TYPES: INFANT : 0-18 months, includes an infants gift such as a cuddly toy. CHILD : for children wishing to take part in the Santa Experience and pick a present. A student ticket should be purchased for older children who do not wish to take part in the Santa Experience or pick a present. STUDENT : for older children not wanting to take part in the Santa Experience, or young adults still in education. SENIOR CITIZEN : aged 65+. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING: If you arrive at the cave early, we have a marquee on site where you can keep dry, and there is a shop selling hot and cold drinks and snacks. A minibus will shuttle run all day (weather permitting), and is available on a first come first serve basis, with priority going to the elderly and those with infants. If you wish to use the minibus, please leave adequate time to walk to the cave in the event that the minibus is full or unable to run. Please factor in the walk and the terrain if you are bringing a pushchair. Although Ingleborough Cave is wheelchair accessible, the volume of visitors we have for Santa’s Grotto can make wheelchair use unsafe. Persons with impaired mobility should contact us directly before booking tickets. Well behaved dogs can be taken on a short lead, but where possible it is easier to leave them at home. 27 tickets are available for each time slot. This is a guided group experience. CANCELLATION PROCEDURES: The tickets you purchase can only be used on the date and time specified. They are non-transferable. Whilst we will try to ensure your trip starts on time, we cannot guarantee this will happen. Refunds will not be offered for delays of less than 1 hour. Ingleborough Cave reserve the right to transfer your tickets to another tour within this time frame without offering a refund. In the event that we are unable to open due to adverse weather, or any other problems, a full refund will be issued minus the card processing charge & booking fee.
