Take the next stage in your willow weaving journey with our intermediate basket weaving workshop! In this relaxed and friendly workshop you will learn the intermediate willow weaving techniques and finishings to create a traditional stake and strand round basket, including 3 rod wale, French rand and 1/1 rod borders, using locally grown willow. This is a perfect next step in learning the art of willow weaving and is ideal for those who have completed our beginners basket workshop or those who already have a familiarity with weaving. The intermediate workshop will hone your weaving skills with more focus on precision and technique in order to achieve a flawless finish.

Please note:

• Suitable for age 14+
• Please bring secateurs with you if possible, and a notebook and pen to make notes if you wish. All other materials are provided.
• Please wear comfortable clothing. Layers is a good idea as willow work is active and you may find you will get quite warm.
• This workshop requires dexterity in the fingers and is not suitable for people with arthritis in their hands or similar conditions that affect dexterity.
