Step beyond the gate and into the Cow Shed for a very special, hands-on calf experience, exclusive to Goat Shed.
Calf Cuddles sessions are all about getting up close and personal with this year’s calves. In these small-group sessions, you’ll meet the calves, learn all about them and help us get them looking their best — brushes at the ready.
We launched Calf Cuddles for the first time this spring and, safe to say, you loved them. Demand was incredible, and we’ve already had customers getting in touch asking when they can book their next visit. So, we’re bringing them back for weekends throughout October and the October half-term.
We’ve got dates penciled into the diary, but there’s just one little thing standing in our way…Mother Nature gets the final say. We’re expecting calves to be born here at Goat Shed throughout September, and until we know exactly when our newest arrivals are here, we can’t commit to the October sessions just yet.
The health, wellbeing and welfare of our calves will always come first, so we’ll only release dates once we’re confident they’re ready! Don’t want to miss out? We know many of you are already keen to get your hands on tickets, so keep your eyes peeled! We’ll be sharing updates on our social media channels and in our weekly newsletter as soon as the first calves start arriving, and we’ll let you know when we’re able to confirm the dates and release tickets.
If you joined us for Calf Cuddles in the spring, you already know what makes this experience so special. If you missed out… this is your second chance.
For now, dates are coming. Calves are coming. And the cuddles are coming. We’ll introduce you to each calf, sharing:
- Their names and personalities
- When they were born
- Who their mum is
- Their daily routines in the shed
- What it takes to prepare them for show season
You’ll have the chance to spend time with the calves, gently brush them, and really get to know the Simmental herd that calls Goat Shed home. It’s a calm, educational and memorable experience — perfect for animal lovers looking for something a little bit special. Each session lasts 20 minutes and is limited to 8 people, keeping things relaxed, intimate and enjoyable for both our visitors and the calves.
What To Expect:
Each Calf Cuddles session will feature six calves, with two people allocated to each calf to keep the experience calm, safe and enjoyable for both our visitors and the animals.
- If you’re booking on your own or as an odd-numbered group, you may be paired with another guest outside of your party
This structure allows everyone plenty of time up close with the calves, while helping us keep sessions relaxed and well managed.
