A Boat with a story built in Plymouth in 1908, this 38-foot timber ferry boat spent much of her life carrying passengers across the River Teign, between Teignmouth and Shaldon in Devon. Rescued in a sorry state from the River Dart, she was brought to Langport by local resident Ian Macnab, whose lifelong dream has been to encourage greater interest in and use of the River Parrett. Lovingly restored and renamed The Duchess of Cocklemoor, she was launched as Langport’s community boat in July 2017.
