What to do on our farm :
Bottle feed the Lambs and Calves at set times in the small animal barn.

🧤 Warm Clothing - during the winter months and some spring days we recommend warm clothing, gloves and hats as we are at the top of a hill.
☂️ Waterproofs - When it rains the farm can get very muddy, it's always good to bring good boots and a rain jacket. We don't close for the rain.
Bottle feed the Lambs and Calves at set times in the small animal barn.
Lamb feeding is 11am, 1pm & 3pm, running from February half term to 31st August every year.
Calf feeding is 12pm & 3.30pm all year round.
Check our website or speak to a member of staff for what's on our daily schedule.
Come and hand feed the Cows, Sheep, Donkeys, Llamas, Goats & Ponies.
Brush and pet the rabbits & guinea pigs in the small animal barn.
See the Ducks waddling around, check out the Chickens, Turkeys and Cockerels.
Enjoy our outdoor play areas, the beach area with slides & swings, and our adventure playground, zip lines and sledges.
We also have ride on tractors for the little ones.
The Café is open 10am to 5pm weekends and school holidays and 10am to 4pm on Mondays termtime.
Sit back and relax inside our café with our selection of hot & cold food, warm drinks & ice cream.We have outdoor seating at the snack baa.
You can bring a picnic for your own lunch and grab a picnic table in our designated outdoor picnic spaces only.
PLEASE NOTE: The farm is open until 4pm so you can stay as long as you like.

Important Notice to Visitors
For health and safety reasons, pregnant women, or women who may be pregnant, are advised not bottle feed lambs or calves.
Sheep and cattle can carry infections around lambing and calving time. These infections may be present on newborn animals and feeding equipment and, while rare, can cause miscarriage, particularly in early pregnancy.
This precaution is taken to protect the health of both mother and unborn baby. Please speak to a member of staff if you have any questions.

We recognise that disabilities can be visible or non-visible and are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible to ensure everyone can enjoy their visit.Essential Carer AdmissionWhere a disabled visitor requires the assistance of an essential carer to enable them to visit Swithens Farm safely and enjoyably, one essential carer will be admitted free of charge.The disabled visitor pays the applicable admission price, and one accompanying essential carer receives complimentary admission.This applies regardless of whether the visitor uses a wheelchair or has a visible or non-visible disability.Evidence of the Need for an Essential CarerTo ensure this concession is applied fairly and consistently, we may ask for one of the following:
- A valid Access Card displaying the +1 symbol.
- A current award letter confirming the higher or enhanced rate care component of Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Adult Disability Payment (ADP) or Attendance Allowance.
- A recognised Carer's Card.
- A letter from a healthcare professional, social worker or local authority confirming that the visitor requires the support of an essential carer.
- Other appropriate supporting evidence may be accepted at the discretion of Swithens Farm.
- A valid Max Card, or
- A valid Blue Badge (Disabled Parking Permit).
- Free adult wheelchair hire (subject to availability).
- Free child wheelchair hire (subject to availability).
- Wheelchair-friendly routes throughout the majority of the farm.
- A large accessible toilet located within our café.
- A full-size changing bed for visitors with additional care needs.
- A baby changing unit within the accessible toilet.
