Full-Day Guided Cycle Tour: Explore the New Forest from Lymington

Overview

Stanwell House Hotel Guests Only
Join us for a full-day guided cycle ride through the breathtaking landscapes of the New Forest. Starting in the charming coastal town of Lymington, we’ll wind our way through quiet country lanes, crossing wooden bridges and riding along scenic gravel tracks. Our route follows parts of the old railway line, taking us deep into the heart of the ancient New Forest. Keep an eye out for the famous free-roaming ponies, donkeys, and cows—and in autumn, you may even spot pigs foraging under the oak trees. We’ll pause for a well-earned coffee and a slice of homemade cake at the delightful Old Station Tea Rooms in Holmsley, before continuing through picturesque villages and open heathland. The ride gentle rides towards the coast, taking in stunning views over Keyhaven Harbour. On the way back, we’ll follow the sea wall, with wide-open views across the salt marshes, the sparkling Solent, and over to the Isle of Wight.
This tour offers a perfect blend of history, wildlife, and natural beauty—ideal for riders who want to immerse themselves in the charm of the New Forest.
