Experience The New Forest

(Old Railway Line) Your personal guide Steve will lead you through the heart of our stunning ancient New  Forest.  Join us for a relaxed, guided half-day cycle ride starting from Brockenhurst, right in the heart of the New Forest National Park. This scenic route takes you along peaceful gravel tracks, ancient woodland trails, and quiet country lanes — the perfect way to experience the beauty, wildlife, and history of this unique landscape. From here, we follow tranquil forest tracks through some of the most scenic parts of the New Forest, skirting behind the Deer Sanctuary, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of wild deer. Leaving the forest, we cycle along quiet lanes to the charming village of Burley for a well-earned coffee and slice of homemade cake at Shappen Café — a favourite stop for local cyclists. New Forest Coaching Academy. Unlock Your Potential on the Trail: The Benefits of Mountain Bike Coaching

Whether you’ve just bought your first trail bike or you’ve been riding for a few years and feel like you’ve hit a plateau, mountain bike coaching could be the gamechanger you didn’t know you needed. At New Forest CoachingAcademy, we’re excited to be offering structured MTB coaching sessions for riders of all abilities across the south of England. Our coaching is delivered by a Mountain-Bike Instructors Award Scheme qualified ride leader so you can be confident you’re learning from someone who knows their stuff – and knows how to teach it. Learn the Fundamentals the Right WayA huge number of riders – even experienced ones – develop habits that quietly hold them back. Things like body position, braking technique and how to approach a steep descent all have a right and a wrong way, and the difference is far bigger than most people realise. Our sessions focus on core MTB skills and techniques that form the foundation of safe, confident and enjoyable riding. Getting these right early (or learning how to correct them later) makes every ride more fun and every trail more manageable. Perfect for NovicesIf you’re new to mountain biking, the trails can feel intimidating. Coaching gives you a safe, structured environment to build confidence and competence before you head out on your own. Rather than learning through trial, error and the occasional tumble, you’ll get clear guidance on how to read terrain, control your speed and tackle features that would otherwise put you off entirely. You’ll progress faster and enjoy the sport sooner. Ride Safer, Ride Smarter Good technique isn’t just about speed: it’s about safety. Understanding how to weight your bike correctly, use your brakes effectively and position your body on tricky terrain dramatically reduces your risk of coming off. Clare brings a methodical, proven approach to skills development that prioritises rider safety at every stage. Sessions cover a range of fundamental techniques including, for example: Body position on the bike – for balance and control Braking – smooth, safe, and effective stopping Weight shift – essential for navigating terrain Gears – when and how to shift efficiently
