2025 Sagtikos Manor House Tours

Overview

Visit Sagtikos with a house tour of the Manor. The first part of the house was built in 1697 by Stephanus Van Cortlandt and then added on by the Thompsons’ in 1772 an again in 1902 to include 42 rooms. All the furnishings, artwork and personal objects are original and are exactly as the family left it, There are 10 acres of property that include; a walled garden, carriage house, buttery and the Thompson-Gardiner family cemetery. George Washington
spent the night here on April 21, 1790 during this Campaign Tour of Long Island.
