Manned by men and women of the Royal Observer Corps, Broadway Tower Master Post grew from being a World War II plotting centre for enemy aircraft to reporting on potential nuclear attack. Experience their story and visit the underground bunker that was secret for decades. Please arrive at the nuclear bunker experience pop-up museum for the time you have booked, the Tower Museum can be visited at anytime on the day of your visit. The Tower Museum staff will be able to give you directions if you are unsure.  Please be aware that access to our nuclear bunker is via a ladder. Because of this there is no disabled access and children younger than 10 are not allowed access underground. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Hidden 15 feet below ground in the Cotswold countryside, lies our former monitoring bunker which was once part of a wider network all over the United Kingdom.  It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful location, but it was not always like this!  You have a unique opportunity to get hands on and relive what it would have been like to have been a royal observer during the 1980’s.  Discover official secrets and operate authentic equipment used to run this defence system in the event of a National Emergency.  You will be on high alert, monitoring the effects of a nuclear attack and report your findings to our Oxford HQ.  Remember your role is to forewarn the public of impending disaster, survive and emerge amazed!  Please arrive at the Morris and Brown Shop, where you will enjoy a hot drink before starting your experience. This experience will take 3 hours. Please note we need at least 4 bookings to run this experience, therefore the experience maybe cancelled in advance. Tower Barn offers an elegantly laid out, bright, espresso bar restaurant with an ever-changing menu and sensational views. Our inspiration is taken from seasonal produce and we invite you to come and unwind in our beautiful location.   If you would like to join us for afternoon tea, we offer a traditional afternoon tea with selection of sandwiches, savouries, cakes and scones with tea or coffee priced at £30 per person, at our Tower Barn Cafe. Deer Encounter - Located at Broadway Tower

Your Deer Encounter ticket allows you to meet Lewis Potter, who lovingly looks after the herd and has done so for sometime. Lewis is a recognised authority on deer husbandry and preservation. Furthermore, he is an accomplished gunsmith and expert in black powder fire arms. He has published numerous books and expert articles on the matter and is prepared to share his knowledge on deer and wildlife protection with our visitors. Lewis will take you to meet our resident herd of red deer as well as sharing his knowledge with you.  Please meet Lewis promptly on the terrace of the Morris and Brown Cafe at 10.45am to start at 11am. Car parking tickets can purchased on the day, if you do not purchase car parking when booking this experience. Please note dogs and pushchairs are not able to be taken into the deer enclosure. Your individual car parking ticket includes access to one of our car parks.  Our carparks are open as follows: April to October - 9am to 5pm daily November to March - 9.30am to 4.30pm weekdays and 9am to 5pm weekends Please ensure vehicles have been collected before closing when our gates will be locked. You will receive an email confirming your ticket purchase. Please either print a copy and place in your car windscreen to activate your car parking, or present your ticket to the Morris and Brown Shop who will provide you with a receipt to place in your car windscreen.   Thank you for contributing to the preservation of the tower.


Fabulously British - Heritage Land Rover Driving Day at Broadway Tower - Saturday 26th September 2026

A fun filled day for all enthusiasts of this British brand!  All ages and models of Heritage Land Rovers are welcome, which will provide a great opportunity to admire some stunning vehicles on display.  Enter your vehicle and try your hand at a number of driving challenges or admire much loved iconic vehicles being put through their paces! A typical experience includes :  Cross country driving course  Various challenges such as the Bendy Landy  A bacon roll and coffee is included for one person, you can add additional on at the time of booking. Instructions for the day will be sent out to participants closer to the day. Refreshments can be purchased from our Tower Barn Cafe on the day. A fabulous day of family entertainment at a unique venue.
