Step Back in Time and Experience the Heat of the Cold War - Located at Broadway Tower

Overview

Hidden 15 feet below ground in the Cotswold countryside, lies our former monitoring bunker which was once part of a wider network all over the United Kingdom.

It’s hard to imagine a more peaceful location, but it was not always like this!

You have a unique opportunity to get hands on and relive what it would have been like to have been a royal observer during the 1980’s.

Discover official secrets and operate authentic equipment used to run this defence system in the event of a National Emergency.

You will be on high alert, monitoring the effects of a nuclear attack and report your findings to our Oxford HQ.

Remember your role is to forewarn the public of impending disaster, survive and emerge amazed!

Please arrive at the Morris and Brown Shop, where you will enjoy a hot drink before starting your experience. This experience will take 3 hours.

Please note we need at least 4 bookings to run this experience, therefore the experience maybe cancelled in advance.

Please be aware that access to our nuclear bunker is via a ladder. Because of this there is no disabled access and children younger than 10 are not allowed access underground. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please ensure that you wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Car parking tickets can purchased on the day, if you do not purchase car parking when booking this experience.

Thank you for contributing to the preservation of the tower and nuclear bunker.
