The Railways of East Donegal @ the Black Memorial Hall Convoy

Overview

Donegal Railway Heritage Museum are proud to present this special event remembering the railways of East Donegal in Convoy’s Black Memorial Hall on Wednesday 19th August at 7pm.

This event will feature a presentation on the Strabane Letterkenny Railway and East Donegal’s wider railway history, a showcase of historic photographs and artefacts from our archives (and hopefully those of the community at large!), and most importantly an opportunity for community members to share their own railway memories and socialise over tea and light refreshments. Convoy Enterprise Centre will also provide artefact displays from Convoy Woollen Mills, a renowned textile operation that helped draw the railway to the area and that grew alongside it for some fifty years.

Tickets are free, but a suggested €5 donation to the museum helps cover our costs and support our work.
Location
