Go behind the scenes of Castle Farm and learn all about Lavender! Join a Castle Farm Guide as they take you into a Lavender field to explain the differences between varieties of Lavender and how they are grown (covered seating is available). You will then take a stroll over to the distillery where you can see how the essential oil is extracted from the plants, and learn about the harvesting process. Whilst you take a seat enjoy a light refreshment (Lavender Shortbread and apple juice), you will learn all about how Lavender can be used at home. Once the tour has concluded you may wish to access our Lavender Walks Field for a further hour where there will be ample opportunity to take photographs at your own leisure.

The Guided Tours last for approx. 1hr plus an additional hour in the Lavender Walks Field. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. 

The guided tour covers a distance of approximately 0.5 mile. Please check in at our Lavender Barn (near the Farm Shop) where the Guided Tours starts. Sorry, no commercial photography or drones. Toilet facilities are available near the farm shop. This is an all-weather event, there is cover in the field to provide shelter / shade. Please note, bees will be present in the Lavender, so take extra care. All tickets are non-refundable. Customers can amend their own bookings using the secure link in their confirmation email, subject to availability, within 12 hours of the event start time. Ticket price includes a non-refundable £1 booking fee.
