Exhibition - Spirits in the Wild: Folklore Tales from North Yorkshire - Sat 1 August to Sun 13 September

Overview

North Yorkshire’s tales of superstition and mystery have conjured the imagination of artist collective H.A.G.S as they reinterpret local historic folklore through a feminist lens.Responding to legends such as Danby’s shapeshifting Moorland Witches, North Sea Selkies and the alluring merman of Skinningrove, H.A.G.S inspire us to consider what these myths can offer us today.
H.A.G.S is comprised of artists:
  • Helen Gaunt
  • Alice Grey
  • Glynis Johnson
  • Sara Henry

Open daily 10am-5pm.
