Overview
4.30pm - 7.45pm - meet in the Dark Skies Station.
A Night time Exploration of
Biofluorescence in Nature!
Come and join Lucy from Wild Roots Foraging for a
spectacular evening exploring biofluorescence in nature!
We will begin our evening with a
wild-spiced, mushroom hot chocolate and a wander around Crow Wood to
look at some of the wild edible and medicinal plants and fungi, as the light
fades.
As darkness begins to fall over
us, we will begin our UV hunt for biofluorescent fungi, plants, mosses, lichens
and bugs with our UV torches.
Children under 14 go free (all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Due to the nature of the walk, we
are only allowing 2 children per adult. Each child will be provided with a
Hi-Vis vest but to be extra safe, we want to ensure all adults are able to
monitor their children closely in order to reduce risk, as we will be walking
in total darkness. Children need to stay close to their adults for this reason
throughout the entire walk.
During our hunt, you will:
🍄 Learn how to forage safely and
sustainably.
🍄 Learn how to identify wild
edibles with confidence.
🍄 Get a taste of some fresh wild
foods.

you forage.

& preserve your finds.

medicine, teas, infusions & tinctures.
🍄 Learn the folklore & history
of the plants and mushrooms we find.

cautions.
On top of this, all attendees
will receive a FREE copy of the ‘Wild Roots Good Guide to Foraging’ ebook.
