Overview

Mountain Skills is the ideal choice for walkers interested in transferring their skills to mountainous terrain.
If you aren't confident in or would like to learn about: Planning walks Navigating in mountainous terrain Understanding the equipment required Mountain weather Emergency procedures
Then a Mountain Skills course is the perfect start. This course can also be undertaken by children as young as 12 years old which makes this a great family adventure.
This course is moderated by Mountain Training and you will receive a certificate on completion. The course instructors will be a minimum qualification of Mountain Leader and are approved course tutors from Mountain Training.Day 10900 - Meet, welcomes and discuss course syllabus 0915 - Weather Brief & Equipment check 10:30 - Head out into the local area 17:00 - End of day 1 & Route Planning exerciseDay 20900 - Morning meet to discuss Route Planning 0930 - Mountain Day 1700 - End of course debrief
