Private Playdates at River & Root
If you’re hoping to host a birthday celebration or include food as part of your gathering, we recommend exploring our Birthday Party Packages or reaching out to us if you have an idea for a different type of event.
If you don’t see your preferred date or time available when booking, feel free to contact us:
Host your own private play session at River & Root and enjoy exclusive access to our cozy, nature-inspired indoor play space just for your group for $140 (+ tax and fees) during our 11:30am-1:30pm or 4:30-6:30pm block or $120 (+ tax and fees) during our 2-4pm afternoon block. This option is ideal for friend meetups, parent group gatherings, or families looking for a quieter, more intentional play experience.
Private Playdates follow the structure of our Open Play sessions, with the added benefit of having the space reserved solely for your group.
Your Private Playdate Includes:
- Exclusive use of River & Root for up to 10 children (ages 0–4) and up to 10 adults
- Infant siblings under 6 months are free and do not count toward your total
- A beautifully prepared, Montessori-inspired play environment
- Two hours of uninterrupted playtime
- On-site staff support throughout your session for cleaning, tidying, and running the space
A Few Helpful Things to Know Before Booking
- We do not offer private playdates during our 9:00-11:00am session. We only offer private playdates during our 11:30am-1:30pm session, 2:00-4:00pm session (at a discounted rate), and 4:30-6:30pm sessions
- **On occasion we may be able to offer a private playdate on the weekend if we do not have a party scheduled. The cost is $175. Please email us if you are interested and we can check availability.
- Private Playdates are designed to be a relaxed, play-focused experience similar to Open Play
- Decorations, balloons, banners, and signage are not permitted in the play space or flex space
- Food setups, potlucks, or shared meals are not included
- The flex space and party room are not available during private playdates
