Evening Explorers Club — 6-Week Series
Ages 2–4 years
Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM | Weeks of 9/21–10/26
Each week, little explorers and their grown-ups meet a new creature and discover how it moves, lives, and thrives through playful, hands-on experiences. Splash like an otter, collect pollen like a bee, build a nest like a bird, and explore the natural world through movement, sensory play, and adventure.
Use the extra time to play, connect with other families, and make your evening a little easier. Families may add pizza to their registration, bring their own takeout, or have dinner delivered to River + Root.
Your registration covers the full 90-minute experience, but families are always welcome to head out earlier if that better fits your day.
Outdoor Experience
Instructor
An outdoor nature class where little explorers learn about a new creature each week through movement, play, and hands-on adventures.

What to Expect
- All 6 sessions for $135
- Sibling series rate: $75
- Series enrollment is available for a limited time before the program begins
- Designed for families who want a consistent weekly opportunity for outdoor exploration, movement, and connection
What to Expect
Each week centers around a different animal or creature and may include:
Play + Dinner
- Movement and imaginative play inspired by the featured animal
- Hands-on nature exploration
- Sensory and gross motor activities
- Simple games and creative challenges
- Opportunities to learn how animals move, live, and interact with their environment
Play + Dinner
Class begins at 5:00 PM. Families attending Evening Explorers Club are welcome to stay afterward and enjoy River + Root’s Montessori-inspired outdoor play space until 6:30 PM.

Outdoor Experience
This class is held fully outdoors. In cases of extreme inclement weather, we will move the class indoors. Additional guidance on clothing and preparation will be shared ahead of each session.
Instructor
Bridget Killen comes to River & Root with 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Ms. Bridget believes play is essential and nature is the ultimate classroom. From traditional early childhood settings to outdoor nature camp, her work has centered on getting children and their caregivers outside, moving, exploring, and connecting through play.
Validity
From 9/6/26 until 10/30/26. Visits must take place within this period.
