Travel back in time to 1984 to discover the secrets of government and how you would survive a nuclear attack. Explore a labyrinth of rooms and corridors as they were during the Cold War, hidden deep in the Cheshire countryside. The bunker covers 35,000 square feet over two floors, one above ground and one 40ft underground. Exploring the bunker... The self-guided tour takes about 1.5 - 2 hours and you can also watch a screening of The War Game, which lasts around 45 minutes. There are several steps to the lower level and we do not have a lift. There are chairs around the museum for you to rest. The museum and canteen are pet friendly throughout, so feel free to bring your furry, feathered or scaly friend with you. Last admission is 3:30pm , but its best to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the bunker. Your ticket will be A nnual Pass , so you can come back as many times as you would like for a whole year. This online booking redeems a physical ticket that you can collect during your visit. The ticket is then valid for 12 months from the date of your first visit. Your ticket is non-transferrable. We recommend booking for the day of your visit but your booking reference is valid for 12 months from purchase.
Cold War Living History Weekend, Easter 2026
EASTER WEEKEND SATURDAY 4th & SUNDAY 5th APRIL 2026. The return of our ever-popular living history weekend! The museum is taking a step back in time and going back to what life was like either side of the Berlin Wall during the Cold War. Keep an eye out for patrolling troops around the Nantwich area on Saturday and Sunday morning as the Bunker welcomes re-enactors and their military vehicles in through its gates. Across the site, there will be military camps set up giving an insight into how lives were lived by both Western and Eastern forces. The event will be patrolled and checkpoints will have to be passed as visitors are invited to venture between the two sides of the Cold War. Discover the length and breadth of the Cold War, featuring some diverse and interesting Cold War displays. Ghost Tour
Explore Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker in the dark with this 2-hour guided tour. Throughout the tour, you will hear a brief history of Hack Green, followed by a guided tour through the darkness of the bunker to hear about the spirits said to reside within its walls, and the strange paranormal activity that has been reported over the years. From unexplained footsteps and voices to sightings and other unusual experiences. This is a guided ghost tour rather than a paranormal investigation, so there is no overnight investigation or requirement to use paranormal equipment. Instead you will be taken through the bunker while hearing the stories, experiences and reported hauntings connected to each area. This is a booking-only experience, limited to 8 people per tour. Places must be booked in advance! Tours will run only on the advertised dates and at the advertised times. Please ensure you have selected and booked the correct date and time when making your reservation. The tour is suitable for ages 13 and over. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the nature of the bunker and the tour being in the dark, sensible, comfortable footwear is required.
