OCT 1 - NOV 1 2026 This fall, during the Halloween season, MAD Arts transforms into a speculative world where visitors are invited to explore the edges of humanity, technology, ritual, and digital decay through the Dead Internet Museum, a large-scale immersive participatory installation by The Last Human Collective.  Blurring the lines between exhibition, game, performance, and collective storytelling, this immersive installation explores what it means to remain human in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, synthetic media, and collapsing digital realities.  At the center of the exhibition is the Dead Internet Museum, a fictional museum composed of browser-based artifacts, interactive works, and digital remnants that feel playful, uncanny, and eerily familiar. These works are co-created through Last Human Studio workshops with students, artists, and community participants, then expanded over time through audience interaction and contribution.The installation unfolds across an open corridor connected to a series of semi-isolated rooms, creating an environment where visitors move fluidly between observation and participation. Running on a dedicated local network, the artifacts act as portals into the “dead internet” — a speculative landscape where machine-generated culture, abandoned platforms, and fragmented identities converge. An audio-led backrooms experience guides audiences deeper into the installation, though the experience remains intentionally open-ended and self-directed. Headphones enhance the journey, but moments of silence, interruption, and technological failure are intentionally embedded into the work itself.  Visitors are encouraged to wander, witness, interact, disconnect, or simply exist within the shifting environment. Throughout the exhibition, ritualistic activations and collective moments periodically emerge and dissolve, transforming the space into a living happening that continuously evolves over the course of the month. *The production addresses mature themes and is recommended for audiences ages 14 and older.  About The Last Human Collective is the creative team behind the Dead Internet Museum, a large-scale immersive storytelling project that explores what it means to remain human in a world overwhelmed by artificial intelligence, synthetic media, and systemic breakdown. The collective brings together artists, designers, technologists, and researchers to create immersive installations, performances, virtual rituals, and experimental storytelling tools. Its mission is to foster new forms of connection and resistance through collaborative storytelling, challenging audiences to confront the fractured realities of our digital age and imagine more humane, inclusive futures.

Blur —  an extended reality production that dissolves the boundaries between live performance and the virtual world.  Experienced in intimate groups, the actor-led experience creates an unusually personal encounter where every sound, movement and shift in perception becomes part of the narrative. About the Experience Co-produced by PHI Studio, Riverbed Theatre Ltd. and Onassis Culture, BLUR places participants inside a surreal, continuously transforming dreamscape shaped by live actors, motion capture, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence and sensory elements. Unlike conventional theater, audiences do not simply watch the story unfold—they enter it, moving through physical and digital environments where performers and computer-generated entities appear to inhabit the same space. Written and directed by Craig Quintero and Phoebe Greenberg, BLUR explores a new myth for the modern age—one shaped by scientific developments that are changing how society understands life and death. Set in a near future where cloning, genetic engineering and de-extinction have become reality, the production asks audiences to consider a fundamental ethical question: What if we could defeat death? Inspired by the Theatre of the Absurd, BLUR is populated by hybrid creatures, AI entities and figures such as Dolly, a human-animal hybrid whose presence embodies both the possibilities and moral ambiguities of scientific intervention. Within this strange yet emotionally familiar world, participants confront questions surrounding grief, identity, memory and humanity’s desire to bring back what has been lost. *Please note that the experience can only accommodate one wheelchair user at a time, along with their companion (who must also have a ticket).
