Your trip leaves from Bathampton (just outside the George Inn) and travels towards Bath with views of the city before going through Sydney Gardens, finishing on the towpath just beyond Bathwick Hill.

If you want to get back to Bathampton then there is a trip in the other direction at 11:30 or you can walk (many people like to take the boat in one direction and walk in the other). 

The Sir John Knill is a modern solar-powered trip boat that can take up to twelve passengers. We have space for a maximum of one person in a wheelchair and passengers can board and disembark using a ramp. SJK is a waterbus (unlike the KACT's larger trip boats), so there is only a very small toilet on board that would not suitable for many disabled people. We provide a limited range of pre-packaged refreshments, but you are very welcome to bring your own food and drink. Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are carried at the discretion of the Skipper. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Please leave pushchairs in your car if possible.

The one-way trip finishes at Bath Top Lock. From there you can access Bathwick Hill by ascending the steps Tescos, you can walk down the path to Lime Grove Gardens or you can proceed along the towpath to Pulteney Bridge (the path is on a slope, but down hill).
