Overview
A regular trip on Thursday, Saturday and Sundays at 12:00 and 14:00 from May to October with this changing to 11:00, 13:00 and 14:45 in the school holidays. We also run on most bank holiday Mondays.
Board our canal boat for a relaxing trip through historic Newbury with our enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fully-trained volunteer crew. There’s plenty of interest to be seen as you rise up a lock and cruise through a swing bridge. Jubilee operates from next to the Stone Building on Newbury Wharf, the best postcode to use is RG14 5AS. There are ample public car parks nearby.On to Northcroft where the boat turns for the return journey. The trip lasts just over an hour.
Jubilee is based on a traditional canal boat, seating up to 25 passengers; there is a licensed bar and a toilet on board.Access to the boat is up 2 steps and down 5 steps. Sorry Jubilee does not have the facilities to load passengers in wheelchairs. All passengers must be able to enter and leave the cabin using the steps at the entrance. The crew will be on hand to offer assistance. Please leave pushchairs in your car if possible. Otherwise they can only be carried on the roof. Dogs are only accepted at the discretion of the Skipper and as long as there are no objections from other passengers and their owners are responsible for controlling them.
Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
