Your trip leaves from Bath and goes through Sydney Gardens: after two short tunnels, the canal runs along the edge of the hill with views over the city. The trip ends at the George Inn. It is possible to walk back to Bath along the towpath (the distance is about two miles and many people like to take the boat one way and walk the other). The Sir John Knill is a modern solar-powered trip boat that can take up to twelve passengers. We have space for a maximum of one person in a wheelchair and passengers can board and disembark using a ramp. SJK is a waterbus (unlike the KACT's larger trip boats), so there is only a very small toilet on board that would not suitable for many disabled people. We provide a limited range of pre-packaged refreshments, but you are very welcome to bring your own food and drink. Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are carried at the discretion of the Skipper. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Please leave pushchairs in your car if possible.
