Women's SUP Adventure - Twin Aqueducts
Our paddle boarding adventure is the perfect way to experience the wilder side of the Bath area. As the only official licensed SUP tour operator in the area you'll enjoy full access to what this hidden gem has to offer. You'll start your adventure paddling along the Somerset Coal Canal, Kennet & Avon Canal over 2 stunning Georgian Aqueducts whilst paddling through areas of wildlife rich beech woodland before stopping for a refreshment break at a cafe or pub underneath the Avoncliff Aqueduct. This is where your river adventure starts and we head into one of the most stunning sections of the Avon river. At this point our local knowledge of the river will give you the best chance to see iconic wildlife such as Kingfishers, Common Egrets, Dippers and if we're lucky Beaver or Otters. This amazing stretch of water combines lazy stretches of a classic English valley landscape with the fun of traversing 2 weirs, learning some valuable white water techniques from your guides. You'll finish your day with the Dundas Aqueduct as your backdrop before paddling back into the Angelfish Cafe. As Stand Up Paddleboarding days out go you'll enjoy 2 canals, 2 aqueducts, 2 rivers and 2 weirs which is one of the rarest SUP experiences you'll have outside of a national park. The opportunity to see iconic wildlife with guides who know the water intimately will ensure you get the most out of you day out with us. As a local operator this is our favourite paddle constantly changing through the seasons. Bath Cycle Tour - City
The perfect way to see Bath's iconic buildings and historic sites. Our 2 hour tour takes you through the City's oldest streets on a journey back in time to see grand Georgian architecture, Victorian public gardens, Medieval city walls, the legacy of Britain's Roman occupation before enjoying expansive views over the city from the Kennet and Avon canal. You'll also get the chance to see some of the amazing wildlife in the City including Kingfishers, Peregrine Falcons and Grey Herons. Our guides are experts in local military history and wildlife providing a unique perspective on Bath as a World Heritage City. Tours are suitable for all riding abilities. Bath Wild Walking Tour
Tours start and finish in Bath and explore the hills surrounding our World Heritage City providing our walkers with breathtaking views over the city and surrounding countryside. Your guides are BBC natural history experts, former British army and Royal Marine officers with a passion for the history, outdoors and wildlife surrounding in and around Bath. Walking Tour Details - 2 to 3 hours is perfect for those looking for a half day walking activity in Bath. Bath Stand Up Paddle Board Adventure
Our paddle boarding adventure is the perfect way to experience Bath from a different perspective. You will explore hidden parts of Bath along the stunning Kennet & Avon canal; enjoying panoramic views over the City, paddling past Georgian merchant warehouses, seeing the famous Widcombe locks before journeying through 19th Century canal tunnels past the stunning Georgian Sydney Gardens under the iconic white cast iron footbridges. The wildlife safari paddle starts as you paddle towards Bathampton where you can expect to see Kingfishers, Grey Herons & other wildlife dependent on the time of year before finishing with some 'Paddle Board Skills Games' along the way to show off your newly developed SUP skills. On arrival you will be provided with a safety brief before introducing to your Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding equipment. The fun begins here as we show you how to get on your board and progress from a kneeling to stand up position. Once you are happy in a kneeling or standing position we will start the adventure along the water. Bath Cycle Tour - City & Countryside
A fun and enjoyable way to take in the Bath's famous buildings, historic sites and pleasure gardens before joining the Kennet and Avon Canal cycle towpath for a ride through history along the Avon Valley. The valley is abundant with wildlife and historical sites including the 'Dundas Aqueduct'. Returning to Bath, you will cycle through a Victorian railway tunnel (Two Tunnels Path), the longest cycling tunnel in Britain. The interactive light and sound installation in the tunnels provide a real ‘wow’ factor before you emerge overlooking the city, followed by a pleasant roll downhill to the cycle path along the River Avon back into the city. Bath Dawn Chorus with Gary Moore
We will be hosting a series of guided wildlife walks in Bath capturing the spring, summer and autumn seasonal changes. The walks will be lead by Gary Moore, a highly experienced BBC wildlife sound recordist, ornithologist, natural historian and Bath local. He has worked on numerous BBC wildlife documentaries including the Autumn/Winter/Springwatch series and a number of David Attenborough productions. Our first walk in the series will explore the sounds, species, science and magic behind the dawn chorus in our amazing city. You will experience the ’Bath Dawn Chorus’ with a skilled ornithologist, whilst exploring a range of habitats within 1 kilometre of Bath Abbey. You will start the walk with Gary who will provide an incite into the soundscape and species waking their human neighbours, before finishing the walk at a panoramic viewpoint over the city. Here you will have the opportunity to ask Gary any questions you might have concerning local species, his work as a natural history sound recordist and the opportunity to see the hi-tech tools of his trade. In addition it's a good spot for a cup of tea whilst watching the early morning sun rise over Bath.
