Wall Eden Adventure offers the chance to use high quality scoped air rifles at our indoor Somerset range. You will learn the skills required for air rifle target shooting through our knowledgeable instructors and be able to put them into practice. Once you have arrived at Wall Eden Adventure you will be asked to read and signs our safety rules. Once signed your instructor will take you to the range where they will recap on the do’s and don’ts of the range, shooting technique and be there for any questions you may have. Throughout your session, you will be using Air Arms S400 Air Rifles which are one of the best rifles on the market. If you are new to shooting or are unsure about using a firearm then fear not, our rifles are easy to operate, require very little physical strength to use and most importantly produce no recoil (unlike shotguns our rifles won’t send you home with a sore shoulder)! Want to experience something new? Book in for one of our awesome archery sessions and learn traditional archery techniques. Enjoy the age-old sport of archery here at Wall Eden Adventure. Our Archery GB qualified instructors will take you through everything you need to know, including the safety aspects and best technique for becoming an expert archer. Feel free to imagine yourself as Middle Earth’s Legolas or maybe even John Snow from Game of Thrones as we give you the skills to hit your target. Throughout the session, we will put together a few games, allowing those with a competitive side to bask in the glory of victory… or perhaps wilter in defeat! The session will begin with a health and safety brief from our instructor who will ensure everyone is in safe hands. Once completed the fun can begin; you will start with a warm-up where you will be taught the basic principles of archery or a recap if you have done archery before, followed by a host of games to test your skills. We can run a range of sessions to suit your requirements; from beginners to intermediates, groups, birthdays, and hen and stag do’s too. Our friendly instructors will ensure you have a great time. Here at Wall Eden Adventure, you can try your hand at the age-old art of axe throwing. There is nothing more satisfying than throwing an axe and hearing the thud as it chops into your target block! The axe throwing experience is great for all abilities and is a fun-filled activity based on ancient hunting and warcraft. Your instructor will take you through everything you need to know in order to safely, accurately and successfully throw an axe. We’ll take you through the safety aspects and rules that will need to be followed during your adventure activity. The instructor will then demonstrate various throwing techniques which will help you to hit that bulls-eye. Then it will be your turn to unleash your inner barbarian and start throwing! Your session will include the use of three traditional axe types; the Viking Norse Axe, the Scout Frontier Axe and the Battle Axe. The Vikings were renowned for using axes during their raids and battles across Europe. Nowadays axes are thrown only in competition, the majority of which are held in North America and Scandinavia. Axe Throwing is a sport that is rapidly growing throughout the UK and we are delighted to be able to offer this unique experience at our Somerset location.

Canoe Paddle from Wall Eden Farm across the beautiful Somerset Levels, via the villages of East Huntspill, Westhay and Meare. The canoe trip will allow you to explore the vast Somerset countryside and its beautiful wildlife. Once you have booked please arrive 15 minutes prior to your canoeing session. Come and see us in the paddle sports reception and we will ensure you are fully equipped with everything you need for your canoeing adventure; this will include a buoyancy jacket, paddle and dry bag. Please read the sections below to ensure you bring everything else you might need with you. Once you are kitted out we will ask you to read our terms and conditions which will require signing prior to your start on the water. A member of our Wall Eden Adventure team will then take you and your group to the water where we will give a safety brief and help you into your Canadian canoe. As you leave Wall Eden Farm you will be heading east through the splendid Somerset Levels; keep an eye on the time and paddle back to Wall Eden to return your kit. As the river is calm and has little to no flow, paddling up and down river is nice and easy. We offer half day or full day hire, however you can paddle for as little time as you like, once you have had enough just turn around and head back to the farm. In terms of history, the river has been navigable for thousands of years and was a vital waterway for traders, which gives you a great sense of the rivers importance as your water sport adventure begins. It is well documented that the Romans utilised the River Brue to aid the movement of peat after its extraction across the Somerset Levels. From your canoe you will see the World War Two pillboxes which formed part of the British defensive line, with the aim of preventing German forces from invading. We are fortunate to have access to this wonderful river and we hope you visit to discover it yourself, whether in a canoe or sit on top kayak. From Wall Eden Farm you and your friends or family can navigate the River Brue as far as Glastonbury, kayaking through miles of peaceful countryside; you may see kingfishers, herons, otters and an abundance of other wildlife along the way. “It was absolutely magical. So beautiful and peaceful with so much to see – herons, swans and cygnets, kingfishers, swallows, huge fish and lots of different types of dragonflies” (from Jackie and Richard, Minehead) Once you have booked please arrive 15 minutes before your adventure. Come and see us at the paddle sports reception and we will make sure you are fully equipped with everything you need for your canoeing adventure; this will include a buoyancy aid, paddle and dry bag. Please read the other sections below to ensure you bring everything else you might need with you. Once you are kitted out we will ask you to read our terms and conditions which will require signing prior to your start on the water. We will then make our way to the river, which is a short 50-meter walk, for a brief health and safety talk to ensure you know where to go and how to stay safe at all times. Your instructor will then help you launch from Wall Eden Adventure and you’ll head towards Glastonbury through the spectacular Somerset Levels. Once you’ve had enough just turn your kayak around and head back to Wall Eden Adventure. The river is a historical waterway, allowing you to immerse yourself with the splendour of this ancient route as you paddle through miles of this beautiful untouched watercourse. The river has been used for well over a thousand years and has strong connections to the Romans and Anglo-Saxons, with ports at Langport, Glastonbury and Highbridge. As you travel up river you will see evidence of the home guards’ (WWII) presence in and around the area, with numerous pillboxes lining the banks of the Brue; part of a last-ditch defensive line to prevent enemies from invading from the south-west.
