Train Journey

Overview

Train Rides are an additional add-on and must be purchased with a General Admission ticket for the same date.

Take the weight off and explore the lower paddocks of the site on our Narrow Gauge Railway.

Our little train is pulled by an old diesel (Barclay) that spent its working life in an explosives factory, which hauls a train of little carriages that we converted from old wagons.

  • Trains run at weekends from Easter to September and daily during the school holiday periods
  • Tickets cost £2 per person and under 1's ride for free
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Due to the historic nature of the carriages, access for prams and wheelchairs isn't possible
  • If you miss your booked timeslot no refund will be given
  • The ride takes approximately 20 minutes and the train leaves at the start time, so please arrive ahead of when the train is sheduled to leave
