Child's Birthday Party Hire
Hire out our farm park to celebrate your child's special day !!!!! Have the use of the farm park to yourself to enjoy a birthday celebration as you wish. You will have the use of the straw pit, pedal tractors, sand pit and all the space surrounded by our farm animals in the beautiful park. You can also hire bouncy castles & other play equipment & entertainment for the day. You can bring gazebos, tables & chairs along with food & drink to help you celebrate or you can pre-order food We have the choice of Berkshire pork Lincolnshire sausage hot dogs, Lincoln Red Beef Burgers, Oreo, Bueno or Areo Milkshakes. The fillings for the hot food and milkshakes can be specified on arrival on the day but must be purchased before to ensure availability Hot/cold drinks and ice creams are available to purchase on the day for the children and parents Park hire is for two hours; Saturday 4.30pm till 6.30pm Sunday 1.30pm till 3.30pm The park will be exclusive to yourselves once we have closed at 4pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday with the exception of private tree bookings that could be taking place Please note this booking is for a childs brithday party with a maximum of up to 30 children, for bigger parties or corporate hire please contact us. Terms & Conditions Host (the person who made the booking) Host can arrive early to setup The host must be on site to meet with any company dropping off bouncy castle etc The hiring of any entertainment and play equipment is the responsibility of the host and not the responsibility of Bowthorpe Park Farm. The host parent must stay on site at all times and will be responsible for all persons attending the party The site must be clean and cleared with all rubbish collected All persons are to be off the site by 4;30pm NO DOGS ALLOWED
Lamb Cuddles Easter Half Term
3rd April till 19th April Come and visit a real working farm at Lambing time. Our lambing shed will be full of ewes (mummy sheep) ready to give birth. Learn about how the farmer looks after the flock at this important time of year and may get to see a real live birth!! You and your group are booking a 15min slot to have a lamb handling session. This takes place in the lambing shed where you will be seated down and a farmer will show you the correct way to handle the lamb and be on hand to answer any questions. Once your session is over you can stay as long as you wish meeting all the other farm animals. What else is there to do? During your lamb handling or bottle feeding session there will be plenty of photo opportunities, along with seeing all the expecting ewes in the lambing shed and 2 day old lambs in the nursery. We also have pigs to see lambing shed and outside. There will be new born lambs out in the fields along with the highland cows, goats, chickens and other animals who are all keen to meet you! A big favourite of visitors big and small is the straw pit, great to burn off some energy. You can also see the Bowthorpe Oak the UKs Largest girthed oak tree measuring 13.3m round and estimated to be 1300 years old. Hot, cold food and drinks are available with a marquee for under cover seating Our farm shop will be open selling the farms home reared beef pork & lamb, local game, milk, fruit, veg & so much more Toilets; There are toilet facilities for Male, Female, Children & Disabled. Booking in on the day We ask that you arrive 5 minuets before your booking slot, you can arrive earlier but we ask that you do not enter the lambing shed until your time slot to ease congestion Once you have made you booking you will receive a confirmation e-mail, this will have a QR code that will be scanned to book you in at the entrance, you may be asked to show this again in the lambing shed to ensure you are on the correct time slot Staying safe on your visit Hand washing stations are located around the farm, after handling and before consuming food you should wash your hands. Correct hand washing of yourselves and your children is your responsibility, Disposable ponchos and gloves to avoid clothes being spoiled are available. Each person booked on the session with a bottle feeding ticket will be given 1 lamb and one bottle to fed it with.
