Museum Guided Tour

Overview

The Pen Museum is proud to announce brand new guided tours for 2026. These tours will be announced roughly two weeks ahead of time and will be delivered by our trained Heritage Tour Guides. Tours will last roughly 1 and a half hours.

Making steel pen nibs in Birmingham during the Victorian era was a major industry with 129 companies employing circa 8,000 workers (mostly women). When visiting the Pen Museum, you will discover a wide range of fascinating objects and details that help tell the story of Birmingham’s pen trade and its important legacy. Throughout the Museum there are a range of interactive activities for all ages to enjoy.

Gift Aid is a government scheme for UK charities to reclaim the tax you have paid and receive 25p for every £1 paid on an eligible ticket.
