Join storyteller Lynn Smith for a "walk" through Colt State Park - no sneakers required!

Samuel Pomeroy Colt loved to collect art, fine cars, and women. He knew how to make money, too. Follow him from his home at 500 Hope St., now known as Linden Place, to his gentleman's farm, now known as Colt State Park. Through this slideshow presentation, we'll 'walk' through his farm property, and also make 'stops' at his mansion on Fifth Avenue in New York and his fishing camp on Kidney Pond in Maine. Along the way, we'll watch the United States Rubber Company on Wood Street in Bristol grow - and take a prominent place in strategic war goods production during World War II. From scandal to success, his life as a Gilded Age industrialist, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and Renaissance man is filled with fascinating twists and turns.
