Start off with a Meet greet and feed with our boys, before heading to the alpaca nursery paddock, where you get to see the stunning baby alpacas - CRIA - with their mums, enjoying the early weeks and months of life! Watch as they pronk, and get inquisitive, as you enjoy watching the families and all the ladies in waiting! New boys and girls, all running around and enjoying being the centre of attention! Head back to the Alpaca Space, where you can hear our Field to Fashion story, and how we use every single fibre from our gorgeous large herd to make beautiful alpaca fashion - and lots of stunning alpaca product and fun alpaca cuddly plushies to buy as a memento of your visit! Enjoy meeting our pet boys as you hand feed and get some great selfies with them! Suitable for all ages, with very accessible walks to the paddocks and back! Thinking of alpacas - or new to ownership of alpacas? This professional course, delivered by our herd principal, with a British Alpaca Society Affiliate status and certification, will give you the confidence and knowledge to manage your alpacas, plan your pastures, and set up your annual husbandry schedule. Interactive and hands-on, delivered on the farm home of over 100 pedigree alpacas. This year, our training day charge is being donated in full to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice, our herd family charity for the past 20 years. A fabulous experience including a meet greet and feed your new alpaca friends, and then a fantastic farm trek alongside so many more alpacas and back to our Alpaca Space where you can view and shop for so many stunning alpaca products made from our own fleecy herd! For our alpaca Farm Talk 'N Trek, we are happy for additional adults or children over the age of 6 to accompany the trekking alpaca and if over 12 years old, share the leading. Younger children accompany non-leading adults only on the trek. Back at the Alpaca Space enjoy complimentary tea coffee or juice as you enjoy watching all the fleecy and feathered friends that live together outside! Refreshments can be enjoyed out in the pasture weather permitting.  ADD YOUR OWN PICNIC TO EXTEND THE FLEECY TIME Make a longer experience by alpaca -ing your own picnic and booking picnic spaces in our picnic paddock, and enjoy your lunch watching the alpacas watching you! Arriving into stunning pastures in our large alpaca breeding and fibre farm, your experience begins with our Alpaca Trek where you get to trek with one alpaca in the pastures seeing so many more along the route!  Once you have had your stress-releasing therapeutic fill of fabulous alpacas and crias (if the births have started to land!) in stunning pastures with breath taking views of Slieve Croob, the source of the Lagan, you get an overview of our Field to Fashion operation here at Mourne Alpacas, and peruse all of the gorgeous product that we make from our fleecy herd. Then,  settle down together at one of our outdoor picnic tables surrounded by alpacas, (or indoors in our Alpaca Space if you prefer) to enjoy a deluxe supper platter for two, with juices teak and coffee included. BYU standard no corkage fee and we will chill for you) to add sparkle to the pasture moment! Sit back and chill watching alpaca feeding and alpacas generally chilling around you as the evening sets and the sun starts to disappear on another fascinating day in the alpaca pastures.
